SPEARVILLE- Annette "Annie" Stein, 81, of Spearville, Kansas passed away December 27 ^th , 2020 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City, with her family by her side.

She was born to Chester and Louise (Knoeber) Hornung, May 8, 1939 in Spearville, Kansas.  She graduated from Spearville High School in 1957.  She also attended college at St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City.

On October 1, 1960 she married Leland Stein in Spearville, Kansas.

Annette loved to cook, prepare family dinners, attend her kids and grandkids events, host family and friends, and was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leland, of the home; son, Kevin Stein and wife Gari-Ann of Spearville, Kansas; daughter, Amy Garver and husband Ty of Basehor, Kansas; son, Verne Stein and wife Lorie of Spearville, Kansas; daughter, Paula Stein of Dodge City, Kansas; brother, Carl Hornung and wife Pat of Frisco, Texas; sister, Linda Meserve of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Herron and husband Jim of Upland, California; brother-in-law, Gene Gleason, Dodge City, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grand child;

Annette was preceded in death by her father and mother; brother, Lawrence L. Hornung and a sister, Lois Gleason.

Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 10:00 am Wednesday December 30, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Spearville, Kansas with the funeral Mass to follow the rosary with Fr. John Forkuoh presiding. Burial will follow the Mass at St. John Cemetery, Spearville. Friends may sign the register book from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
