MINNEOLA, KANSAS – Betty Marie (Lunow) Long was born in Denver, Colorado on September 7, 1928, to William and Esther (Esplund) Lunow.  She passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 in the Longterm Care Unit in Minneola at the age of 93.

On August 21, 1949, she was united in marriage to William Arthur Long in Minneola.  Betty and her husband enjoyed 61 years of married life and spent many years camping.

Betty was a housewife.  She belonged to the Women's Auxiliary and was active in the Quinter Senior Citizen's Center until moving to Minneola in 2011.  She enjoyed participating in many of the activities while a resident in the Longterm Care Unit at Minneola.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Appleton Township Cemetery, south of Minneola, with Rev. Claude Fillingim officiating.  There will be no public visitation.
