MINNEOLA- Charles L. Clark, 86, passed away July 5, 2025, at Minneola Long Term Care.
He was born May 9, 1939 to C.B. & Mildred (Crone) Clark in Dodge City, Kansas. He was raised north of Bloom, Kansas on a farm with his brother Raymond Clark and sister Carolyn (Clark) Greenlee. Charles graduated from Bloom High School in 1957, after school he farmed with his dad until he was drafted to the Army for six years (1961-1967). He eagerly returned to the farm picking up where he left off and stumbled upon the love of his life Ethel Mae Hindman. Charles wasted no time marrying Ethel Mae in December of 1968. He managed to convince Ethel Mae to plant their roots just three miles east of where he grew up. There they raised their four children Chris, Shelly, Sharla, Sheri and a granddaughter, Erica. Already farming, digging with his backhoe and raising strong kids he managed to add driving semi and hauling grain to his list of his passions. Continuing to show his resilient strength, great work ethic and grit he hauled grain until fall harvest 2024.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents C. B. & Mildred Clark, wife, Ethel Mae Clark, son, Chris Clark, grandson, Christopher Conrardy, and nephew Gary Clark.
