HAUGHTON, LOUISIANNA - Dana Ann Nagy Whited, 52, passed Friday, September, 14, 2018 at her home in Haughton, Louisiana.

Born August 10, 1966 in Meriden, Connecticut to Frank Nagy and Pat Casey Nagy. Dana graduated from Dodge City Senior High. She attended one year at Pratt Community College.

Dana had a dream in her heart that she pursued. That dream was the horse racing. Dana started working with a local trainer Butch Gleason. Dana started as a gallop girl, worked up to a jockey, and kept pursing her dream and learning from many great horseman one being her brother. Which brought her to where she was at the time of her passing, Harrah's Louisiana Downs, Shreveport Louisiana. Where she had become a very well known and highly respected horsewoman.

Dana is survived by her mother, Pat Nagy, Dodge City, Kansas; 2 sisters, Lisa Nagy husband David Brennan, Destin, Florida, Gina Wilson husband Mike, Dodge City, Kansas; 2 nephews, Casey Nagy and Cole Wilson wife Janel, their daughters, Braylee and Peyton; 3 nieces, Sierra Nagy, Kelsie Nauman husband Kyle their daughters, Laikynn and Aspyn; Mikeyla Shearer husband Brandon, their son, Jackson; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and great friends.

She is preceded in death by her baby boy, Reed J. Nagy; brother, Troy Nagy; father, Frank Nagy.

Cremation has taken place. Services will be announced at later date.
