SPEARVILLE – Daniel J. Temaat, 63, died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at St. Catherine's of Dodge City.

He was born December 1, 1960 at Dodge City, the son of Leonard J. and Ruth P. (Irsik) Temaat.  He was a graduate of Spearville High School and received his Associate Degree in Diesel Mechanics from Dodge City Community College.  He was a lifetime farmer and cattleman which he truly loved.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Dodge City.

On September 15, 2007 he married Cynthia McFerrin at the First Christian Church in Dodge City.  She survives.

Other survivors include: his siblings, Jane Graf and husband Pat, Dodge City, Ron Temaat and wife Beverly, Spearville, Barbara Bannister and husband Bill and Donna Depner and husband George all of Colorado Springs; and 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Friday, January 26, 2024 at the First Christian Church, Dodge City, with Dusty Cookson officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Private family inurnment will be at a later date.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
