CASHION, OKLAHOMA - Danny J. Hahn, 82, died Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home in Cashion.

He was born August 13, 1936 at Dodge City, the son of Charles O. and Isabelle "Belle" Elizabeth Peterson.  He was a graduate of Dodge City High School and served in the United States Marines.

On June 19, 1958 he married Kay Brumbaugh at the Presbyterian Church in Dodge City. He was a farmer and stockman and loved the mammas and babies of the cattle and sheep he raised.  He was also a letter carrier for the US Post Office for 25 years.  He and Kay moved from Dodge City to Cashion in October of 2005.

He was a life long 4-H member and leader from 1959 to 1987.  He also served on the Richland Township Board and the Ford County Fair Board.

Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Kay, Cashion; 3 children, Randy and wife Denise, Chantilly, Virginia, Rhonda Morgison and husband Chris, Cashion and Reigo and wife Sheree, Dodge City; a brother, Don Hahn and wife June, Dodge City; a sister, Fern Ricker, Wichita; and 8 grandchildren, Nick and wife Meghan Hahn, Callie Fry and husband Joel, Cody Morgison, Kacia Morgison, Brooklyn Hahn, Colton Hahn, Christina Link and Michael Link.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Elizabeth, and Sister Doris Stanek.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.  Visitation will be Friday from noon to 8:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Ford County 4-H Foundation in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
