FORD – Dave Thomas, 66, died Monday, August 11, 2025 at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas.

He was born January 18, 1959 at Monroe, Louisiana, the son of Harvey and Gladys (Stripling).  He graduated high school in Farmerville, Louisiana and had been a Ford resident for the past 35 years where he was the owner and operator of Wheatstate Auto Body.

He enjoyed working on cars and loved animals, especially his goats.

On April 9, 1994 he married Becky Bradley at Ness City, Kansas.  She survives.

Other survivors include: son, Chris Thomas, Marion, Louisiana, daughter, Amy Trost and husband Brandon, McPherson, Kansas and son Brandon Hager and wife Jessica, Ponder, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Bearden, Jonesboro, Louisiana and Diane Hanson and husband Freddie, Farmerville, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Harvey and Wayne Thomas and a sister, Bessie Ray.

A Celebration of Dave's Life will be Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Ford Community Church Fellowship Hall, Ford.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
