DODGE CITY – Dean Frank Snodgrass, 79, passed away April 19, 2018 at the Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.

Dean was born October 20, 1938 in LaCrosse, Kansas, the seventh child of Estle and Mary (Bottom) Snodgrass. Dean grew up on a farm near Rozel, Kansas and attended Rozel schools, graduating from high school in 1957. Shortly after graduation he joined the US Army and served his country for five years.

On December 21, 1961 he married Carol Hoffman at Seward, Kansas. From this marriage they had two daughters Deanna and Amy.

Dean operated his own forklift mechanic business serving most of Southwest Kansas for over 25 years retiring in 2009.  He then worked part time for the Dodge City Country Club until his health declined.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deanna Munsen and husband Bill, Atchison, Kansas, and Amy Wright and husband Will, Worland, Wyoming; 5 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Monday April 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 901 Central Ave., Dodge City, with Fr. Wesley Schawe presiding.  Rosary will also be Monday at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Cathedral.  There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place.
