DODGE CITY – Deborah "Debi" Jo Desemo, 64, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Dodge City, Kansas.

She was born on January 11, 1957 the daughter of Joseph Benjamin Desemo and Shirley Wurm. She was a lifetime area resident and worked for Compass Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Assistant. Debi enjoyed helping others especially at her job, playing Yahtzee, going fishing, loved her animals and Dr. Pepper. She enjoyed collecting angels, jewelry, and bibles.

Survivors include: her 3 children, Scott, Kristy and Chase Behee all of Dodge City; her mother, Shirley Wurm, Albuquerque, New Mexico; 2 sisters, Ann Baca and husband Chris, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jennifer Turk and husband James, Jourdanton, Texas; 1 brother, Dan Desemo and wife Kathy, Great Bend, Kansas; many nieces and nephews, Kalin Baca, Lawrence, Kansas, Kolten and Kilah, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joanna Farr, Jourdanton, Texas, Sara and Cade Butler, Salina, Kansas, and Ryan and Melissa Desemo, Sterling, Kansas; and 5 great nieces and nephews, Breeley, Cayson, Joseph, Luke and Mason.

She was preceded in death by her father, one daughter, Brandi Behee, and a nephew, Jonathan Turk.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Compass Behavioral Health. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to the Ford County Humane Society or Compass Behavioral Health both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14 ^th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
