SPEARVILLE – Delores Scheve, 92, died Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Southwind at Spearville.

She was born February 11, 1933 at Spearville, the daughter of Henry and Nora (Droste) Keller.  She was a graduate of Spearville High School and attended Dodge City Community College.  She was the Ford County District Court Clerk until retiring.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Spearville.  She enjoyed reading crocheting and attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events.  She was crowned Dodge City Centennial Queen in 1972.

On October 30, 1952 she married William "Bill" Scheve at Spearville.  He preceded her in death on December 17, 2008.

Survivors include: 6 children, Carol Scheve, Dodge City, Debbie Gangola and husband Matt, Mesa, Arizona, Jerry Scheve and wife Vicky, Spearville, Ed Scheve, Owasso, Oklahoma, Greg Scheve and wife Audrey, Spearville and Patti Israel and husband Kurt, Spearville; 11 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, Jason Melia and wife Alison and their children, Justin, Bryan and Brent, Jarod and Kalli Scheve and their children, Olivia, Emrie and Ostin, Rachel Ryherd and husband Jeremy and their children, Koyie and Grayson, Adam Scheve and his children, Charlotte and Vivienne, Caleb Scheve and wife Rachel and their children, Elijah, Ila Grace, Madison and Julianne, Alexandra Marcom and husband Harris and their children, Eloise, Abigail and Violet, Justin Scheve and his wife Megan and their children, Savanna, Cassidy and William, Melanie Bryan and husband Chris and their children, Henry and John, Melissa Goodwin and husband Greg and their children, Evan and Ryan, Jamie Hartman and husband Michael and their children, Ehlaina, Bailey and Paityn and Amanda Stein and husband Clayton and their children, Avery, Kason, Harper and Daxton; her brother, Glen Keller, Spearville; her sister, Jolene Severin, Hutchinson; and several nephews and nieces.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Carolann Scheve, sister-in-law, Pat Keller and brother-in-law, Francis "Sonny" Severin.

Rosary will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 30, 2025 followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am both at St. John the Baptist Church, Spearville, with Fr. John Forkuoh presiding.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Spearville.  There will be no public viewing, the casket will remain closed.
