DODGE CITY – Dennis Ray Coker, 66, died Sunday, October 2, 2022 at St. Catherine's of Dodge City, Kansas.

He was born on April 13, 1956 the son of Raymond and Hilda (Riedlinger) Coker at Dodge City, Kansas. He was a lifetime area resident and owned and operated his own trucking company and had driven over 15,000,000 miles. He enjoyed watching football and race cars. He loved cooking but was especially famous for his ice cream, tacos, pizza and carrot cake.

On April 10, 1999 he married Charla L. Coit at Randolph, Missouri. She survives.

Survivors also include: his daughter, Lynnsi Coker, Meade; a brother, Kenny Coker, Wright; a sister, Linda Dorrell, Derby; 3 step-children, Dale Coit, Erin Mahan and Pete Hilkemeyer; 4 grandchildren, Savannah Maas and husband Tanner, Kody, Deacan, and Darianne Green; and 16 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Edwardsville Assembly of God Church, 643 Edwardsville Dr., Edwardsville, Kansas 66111.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to the Dennis Coker Memorial Fund (to be designated at a later date) in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14 ^th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
