DODGE CITY – Edward "Eddie" J.H. Harms Jr., 87, died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home in Dodge City, Kansas.

He was born in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Edward J.H Sr. and Vida Ellen (Wortman) Harms. He was a lifetime resident and worked as a mechanic, truck driver and farmer.

On October 20, 1956 he married Alvina (Ehrlich) Harms in Clayton, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2004.

Survivors include, 2 sons, David Harms & family, and Rocky Harms & family; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one son, Troy Harms, 4 brothers, Charles Henry, Herold, David and Bobby Harms, 3 sisters, Mary Harms, Elda Pyle, and Eula Sulzer.

Private memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie or the Eddie Harms Memorial Fund both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14 ^th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
