OKLAHOMA CITY - Edward Lee Spencer, Sr., 92, died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City.

He was born January 31, 1926 at Kansas, Oklahoma, the son of LB and Minnie Pearl (Ford) Spencer.  He farmed most of his life and moved to Oklahoma City from Spearville in 1996.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

On November 20, 1944 he married Mary Virginia Imel at the Church of Christ in Dodge City.  She preceded him in death on December 23, 1993.  On October 1, 1994 he married Mary Jo Couch at the Church of Christ in Dodge City.  She preceded him in death on June 23, 2011.

Survivors include: his son, Edward L. Spencer, Jr.; 2 grandsons, Christopher Spencer and Nicholas Spencer and wife Kelly Kennedy; a granddaughter, Daniele Leach; 2 great grandsons, Caleb Spencer and Conner Spencer; 2 great granddaughters, Allison Spencer and Charlotte Spencer; a sister, Ruth Krumrei; and a son-in-law, Denny Leach.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary Leach, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Spencer and 3 brothers, Vernon, James and Thomas Spencer.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Silent Land Cemetery, Spearville, with Gary Bennett officiating.  Visitation will be Friday from noon to 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
