SPEARVILLE – Ernie Lee Miller, 76 died Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Southwind in Spearville.

He was born on September 26, 1949 at Clarinda, Iowa the son of Donald Dean and Phyllis Charlene (Orme) Miller. He worked as a hired hand, draftsman, carpenter and a maintenance supervisor.

Ernie enjoyed hunting, woodworking, camping, spending time with his family and watching his grandkids play sports.

On September 18, 1969 he married Jacquie McNair at St. Joseph, Michigan. She survives.

Survivors also include: 2 sons, Rex Miller and wife Shanda, Spearville and Ken Miller and wife Billie Jean, Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Roger Miller; sister, Linda Rose and husband Dave; 7 grandchildren, Morgan Pagan and husband Rico, Gavin Miller and wife Victoria and Ashton Miller, Whitney Etcheverry and husband Mauricio, Brianna, Tanner and Stephanie Miller; and 3 great grandchildren, Zayden and Micah Pagan and Sandro Etcheverry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dave Miller and a sister-in-law, Lisa Miller.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12:30 PM at St. John Parish Center, Spearville. There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
