DODGE CITY – Esther R. Mueller, 83, died Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.

She was born October 16, 1941 at Lewis, Kansas the daughter of Jose Castaneda and Manuela Munoz. She was a graduate of Lewis High School and received her Bachelors Degree form Dodge City Community College.  On September 7, 1963 she married Robert J. Mueller at Kinsley, Kansas.  They lived in several towns throughout Kansas and moved to Dodge City in 1976.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Liz Stroot and husband Mark, Wichita and Mindy Mondragon, Lamar, Colorado; a son-in-law, Curt Armstrong, Dodge City; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, on May 21, 1983, her daughter, Cindy Armstrong, 4 brothers, Sabe Guerrero, Frank Castaneda, Nick Castaneda and Pete Castaneda and a sister, Connie Burke.

Memorial services will be announced and held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Windthorst, Kansas.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
