LA CROSSE, KANSAS – Eva Carson, 79, went to heaven to join Jesus on August 20, 2022 at Locust Grove nursing home in La Crosse. She was born to Drexel Dean and Charlotte (Clark) Thompson in Bedford, Iowa on November 3, 1942. She was born just minutes before her twin sister, Reva. She attended Bedford Community School system. She married Charles Jones on July 17, 1961. To this union was born 5 children. She lived in Bedford most of her life raising her family. In 1984 she moved to Ashton, Idaho for a short time but decided to follow her daughter to Dodge City, Kansas. She later divorced Charles and married George Carson on September 21, 1991 and she said he was the love of her life. They were married until he died February 19, 2013.

During her life she worked as a nursing assistant for many years and loved caring for the elderly. When she finally got to the point, she could not do that type of work anymore, she started working for a donut shop. She loved when children would come up to her and say, "there is the donut lady."
