DODGE CITY – Geth M. Gillett, 98, died Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Hill Top House in Bucklin.

She was born November 29, 1925 at Minneola, the daughter of Thomas and Elma (Moore) Creamer.  She was a graduate of Dodge City High School and a lifetime area resident.  On January 10, 1943 she married William A. "Skillet" Gillett, Jr.  She was the former manager of the café at Winter Livestock in Dodge City as well as a homemaker.  She enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include: 4 children, Jerry Gillett, San Diego, California, Vicki Karr and husband Robert, Ottawa, Kansas, Trudy Reiss and husband Scott, Plains, Kansas and Barbara Christian and husband Kerry, Bucklin; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on July 15, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, November 4, 2024 at Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City, with Pastor Sam Lufiyele officiating.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

The family suggests memorials to the Ford County Humane Society in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
