DODGE CITY – Harvey Dale Gum, 78, died Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colorado.

He was born March 11, 1942 in Eureka, Kansas, the son of Jesse and Pauline (Dix) Gum. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, any type of racing, spending time with his grandkids and most of all spending time with his wife of 58 years.

Harvey was a Welding Foreman for Crust Buster/Speed King, Dodge City for 38 years.

On April 7, 1962 he married Georgianne Mae Petrowsky at Greensburg, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include: their 3 children, Glenna Gebhart and husband Rick, Jetmore, Kansas, Kevin Gum, Dodge City, and Kyle Gum and wife Lisa, Dodge City; 2 grandchildren, Kyla Bogner and husband Lee and Nicole Gum and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Lawrence, Russell and Evertt Gum, 2 sisters, Lois Dimick and Eleanor Falk and grandson, Nathan Thomas.

Private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
