GARDEN CITY - Janette Gayle Haverkamp, 58, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at her home in Garden City.

She was born July 12, 1959, in Winfield, to James Randolf and Marian Pauline Hart Hunter. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Kansas State University and a law degree from Washburn Law School.

Mrs. Haverkamp was a district magistrate judge in Elk County. She had been a Garden City resident since 1994.

On Aug. 8, 1980, she married Bryce Haverkamp in Howard. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Garden City United Methodist Church. There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.
