DODGE CITY – Janie Lou Innis, 71, died Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Presbyterian – St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colorado.

She was born on September 28, 1949 in Cortez, Colorado the daughter of Frank Lee and Lucille Myrtle (Lee) Goans. She worked as a Dietitian at the Kansas Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas for over 25 years. Janie loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren she was often taking them shopping at the mall. She enjoyed reading her bible and playing games on the computer. She also was known to give great advice – whether you wanted it or not. She will be dearly missed by her family.

On September 1, 1967 she married Harold Innis at Dodge City, Kansas. He survives.

Survivors also include: her son, Allan Eugene Innis and wife Jill, Garden City, Kansas; 2 daughters, Michelle Lynn Garcia and husband Bernardo and Lisa Jean Prado and husband Gabriel both of Dodge City, Kansas; 2 sisters, Alma Donley and husband Rick, Newton, Kansas and Myra Goans Keith, Garden City, Kansas; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Darrell Goans, 2 sisters, Connie Hipp and Betty Jean Goans and 1 grandson, Christopher Boyd.

Memorial service will be on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 am at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with Pastor Bob Bates officiating. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place. Friends and family may sign the register book Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
