DODGE CITY – Janis S. Frank, 77, peacefully passed from this life and went to her eternal home where she ran into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at St. Catherine’s of Dodge City.

She was born May 12, 1949, in Dodge City, the daughter of Dwight and Ruby Fay (Delaney) Brown. She was a graduate of Ness City High School and obtained her Associates Degree from Dodge City Community College in Dodge City. She owned and operated Ness County Abstract and Title for many years until moving to Dodge City in 2009.

She attended the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City and was a member of P.E.O. and the Rosedale Club in Ness City. She loved her children and grandchildren and became very close to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living in Dodge City.

Survivors include: her daughter, Jennifer English and husband Todd, Cimarron; her son, Jay Dustin Frank, Gardner, Kansas; and 3 grandchildren, Delani Rose, Alexa Fay and Asher James English.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in law and mother-in-law, Sam and Lorinda Frank and grandparents, Harvey and Esther Delaney and Joseph and Kathryn Pfeifer.

Per Jan’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public service. Private family services will be held at a later date.
