DODGE CITY – Joseph C. Robinson, Jr., 80, died Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Oxford Vista in Wichita.

He was born February 22, 1946 the son of Joseph C., Sr. and Doris (Young) Robinson. He graduated high school in Omaha in 1965 and attended the University of Nebraska. On January 19, 1973 he married Colleen Badders at Omaha, Nebraska. They were longtime residents of Thornton, Colorado where he worked as an Information Technologist for Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T and Western Electric) for 37 years until retiring in 2002. They moved to Dodge City in May of 2024.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Colleen, Dodge City; 2 sons, Matthew Robinson, Arizona and Chris Robinson and wife Carson, Dodge City; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth Longo, Hananiah Robinson, Aidan Robinson, Blythe Robinson and Rory Robinson; and a sister, Ruth Ann Abbs and husband Art, Birmingham, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday, November 16, 2026 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
