DODGE CITY – Joyce Elaine Crosby, 79 died Monday, September 18, 2023 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.

She was born on August 31, 1944 at Dodge City, Kansas the daughter of Paul Shute and Vivian Malone. She was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Ford High School. Joyce was the president of the Resident's Counsel at Trinity Manor for the past couple of years and she really enjoyed it. She spent most of her time with her family especially her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved to crochet and color; she was known to be very crafty. She enjoyed watching wrestling and calling her children to talk about it.

Survivors include: 4 children, Wesley Keith, Sutherlin, Oregon, Kathy Perkins and husband Gary, Sutherlin, Oregon, Walanda Baker and husband Gary, Basehor, Kansas and Jeffrey Keith, Dodge City; 2 sisters, Rose Shute, Dodge City and Vicki Howe, Wichita, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren with another on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, Tina Horn and Deborah Wellen, brother, James Shute, Sister, Lori Shute and granddaughter, Jordan Keith and her husbands, James Keith, Mark McAllister and James Crosby.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with David Johnson officiating. There will be no viewing, as cremation has taken place. Family and friends may sign the register Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
