DODGE CITY, KANSAS - Kenneth W. Zielke, 72, passed away on September 22, 2025, at his home.

He was born on August 10, 1953, in Dodge City, the son of Harry E. and Marguerite (McGee) Zielke, Sr. Kenny graduated from Dodge City High School in 1971 and soon began working for the City of Dodge City, where he dedicated nearly 40 years of service.

In 1975, he married Glenda Graff, and they were blessed with two children, Wesley Zielke of Greeley, Colorado, and Stacy Millette of Manhattan, Kansas. Later, in 1989, he married Mary Adams, and their family grew to include one son, Shay Zielke of Edinburg, Texas, along with Joshua Adams of Dodge City and Brandy Caro of Hutchinson, Kansas whom he lovingly considered his own.

Kenny was blessed with nine grandchildren: Carly and Brody Millette of Manhattan, Kansas; Arya and Alaric Zielke of Edinburg, Texas; Tatum and Keeghan Zielke of Brush, Colorado; and Reagan Field, Sevyn Caro, and Serenity Caro of Dodge City.

He enjoyed hunting trips in Colorado and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and the Kansas Jayhawks.

He is survived by one brother, Harry Zielke, Jr. of Larned, Kansas and a sister, Myrna Koehn of Protection, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marguerite Zielke; brothers Stanley, Evan, Hershel, and Raymond Zielke.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City, with Rev. Berniece Ludlum officiating.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.  Friends may sign the register book from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
