Kenton
Setzkorn
May 23, 1965 — Jul 29, 2025
OFFERLE – Kenton Setzkorn, 60, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at his home in rural Ford County.
He was born May 23, 1965 at Dodge City, the son of Delbert A. and Elvira J. (Wetzel) Setzkorn. He was a lifetime area resident, a graduate of Spearville High School and a proud graduate of Kansas State University. Kenton dedicated his life to agriculture, working as a USDA grader and as both a farmer and dairy farmer. He helped his dad run the family farm, a responsibility he embraced with pride, hard work, and purpose.
Kenton had a genuine heart for others—always ready to lend a hand, offer support, or share a kind word. He deeply loved his family, and his happiest moments were those spent by their side. Whether traveling on vacations with his beloved wife, enjoying a good movie, or spending time with loved ones on any occasion, those were the moments Kenton cherished most.
Family was at the very core of who Kenton was. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, grandfather and uncle - a constant presence to those he cared for. He brought warmth, strength, and steady kindness to every room he entered.
A true football fan through and through, Kenton was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys supporter—loyal no matter the score, no matter the season.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the love he poured into his family every single day.
On April 6, 2024 he married Amanda (Rodriguez) Setzkorn at Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: 2 daughters, Ashley Setzkorn, West Palm Beach, Florida and Desirae Setzkorn, Emporia; step-daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Kody Stockton, Dodge City; a grandson, Waylon Stockton; 3 brothers, Kenneth Setzkorn, Des Moines, Iowa, Laurin Setzkorn, Grain Valley, Missouri, Larry Setzkorn, Bella Vista, Arkansas; and 2 sisters, Sharlene Kraft and Darlene Segard both of Pratt.
