DODGE CITY – LaDonna M. Dalton, 80, died Monday, February 17, 2025 at Medical City Denton Hospital, Denton, Texas.

She was born July 1, 1944 at Chanute, Kansas, the daughter of Glenn and Evelyn (Phillips) Eastburn.  She was a 1962 graduate of Chanute High School and on April 7, 1963 she married Adrian Dalton at Chanute.  They lived previously in Chanute and El Dorado and moved to Dodge City 52 years ago.  She worked alongside her husband owning and operating Dalton Brothers in Dodge City where she was the bookkeeper for 40 years until retiring in 2006.  She was also a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Dodge City.

Survivors include: her husband of 61 years, Adrian; 2 sons, Steve Dalton, Dodge City and Alex Dalton and wife Amy, Rhome, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Dalton, Tanner Dalton and Ryleigh Dalton; and 2 sisters, Kathy Youngberg and Leah Jones and husband Larry all of Kansas City, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Scott Dalton.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Inurnment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
