DODGE CITY – Larry D. Stephenson, 74, died Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.

He was born January 11, 1950 at Independence, Kansas, the son of Loy Asher and Esther Lorraine (Weaver) Stephenson.  He was a graduate of Oakley High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Forestry from the University of Missouri.  He moved to Ulysses, Kansas where Larry drove a mixer truck for Tarbert Construction for 12 years. On September 12, 1981 he married Pam Hubbard at Wichita, Kansas.  They moved to Dodge City in 1986 and he worked for KDOT as an Engineer Technician until retiring in February of 2015.

He was an avid sports fan, especially the Dodge City Community College Conquistador's and the Dodge City Red Demons.

Survivors include: his wife of 42 years, Pam, Dodge City; their children, Abby Eldringhoff, Topeka, Kristen Stephenson and fiancé Anthony Jones, Wichita and Curtis Stephenson, Dodge City; 3 grandchildren, Raegyn Combs, Presley Stephenson and Avery Foote; and a sister, Sherri Kirby and husband Ron, Hugo, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth.

No services are planned, cremation has taken place.
