DODGE CITY – Lonnie Lestell Taylor, 81, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Fowler Residential Care. Fowler.

He was born July 27, 1941 at Russellville, Kentucky, the son of Charles "Charlie" and Rebecca (Burns) Taylor.  He moved from Kentucky to Salina and in the early 1960's moved to Dodge City. He worked for ADM, where he was a Union Steward, in Dodge City for 43 years until retiring on June 8, 2007.

He was a member of Living Waters Pentecostal Holiness Church, Dodge City.

On December 28, 1964 he married Rosa Foster at Dodge City.

Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Rosa; 4 children, Douglas Taylor and wife Monica, Dodge City, Troy Taylor and wife Heidi, Olathe, Kansas, Jason Taylor and wife Ginger, Dodge City and Kimberly Marsh, Dodge City; a brother, Charles Taylor, Jr., Russellville; 9 grandchildren, Nichole Domagal, Zachary, Jonathan, Rashaan, Jashon, Joshua, Isiah, Jada and Jaxon Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Ernest and Eugene Taylor and 2 sisters, Henrine Duncan and Katie Mae Taylor.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 21, 2022 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 8:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
