DODGE CITY – Magdalena "Maggie" Galindo – Zavala, 58 died Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at St. Catherine's Dodge City.

She was born January 1, 1965 at Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico the daughter of Isaias Sepulveda Portillo and Josefina Zapata Garcia. She moved to Dodge City in 1968 and worked various jobs in the Social Work field. She currently worked for Southwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging for the last 5 years.

Maggie loved her family and always made sure they were taken care of first whether that was cooking for them or just making sure they had anything they needed. She loved to help people, watch religious movies, listen to George Strait, and go to the casino.

Survivors include: her mother, Josefina Galindo, Dodge City; her husband, Armando Zavala Zarate, Dodge City; 4 children, Kristina Galindo, San Antonio, Texas, Armando Zavala, Garden City, Shelby Zavala and Allison Zavala both of Dodge City; 2 sisters, Ana Hansen and husband Rick and Patricia Garcia and husband Eddie both of Dodge City; a brother, Guadalupe Galindo and wife Belen, Dodge City; and 2 grandchildren, Cairo and Canaan Gonzales.

She was preceded in death by her father, Isaias Sepulveda, step-father, Hector Galindo and her grandparents.

Rosary will be at 6:30 pm Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the First Missionary Church, Dodge City with Pastor Lilian Lujan officiating. Cremation will take place following the service, private inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from noon to 6:30 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
