DODGE CITY- Maxine Vivian Sexton, 79, died Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born April 17, 1944 at Hugoton, Kansas, the daughter of Dean and Lorine (Wilson) Knox.  She moved to Dodge City from Rolla, Kansas over 20 years ago.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Dodge City Mennonite Church.  She loved children and enjoyed baking and sewing.

On December 20, 2003 she married Harold F. Sexton in Dodge City.  He preceded her in death on August 21, 2016.

Survivors include: 4 sons, Robert Munn, Rolla, Kansas, Richard Tidwell, Wright, Kansas, Lance Tidwell and wife Sandra, Enid, Oklahoma, Junior Tidwell, Michigan; 3 brothers, Floyd Knox and wife, Shirley, Hugoton, Kansas, Virgil Knox, Wichita, Kansas, Tony Knox and wife, Donna, Longview, Texas; 25 grandchildren including Kindra and Tonni and 15 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald Munn, a daughter, Patty Jones, 2 sisters, Odessa Levett and Nellie Crusan, and 2 brothers, Delbert and Herbert Knox.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:30 am at the Dodge City Mennonite Church with Linford Holdeman and Loyd Nightingale officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from noon to 8:00pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
