DODGE CITY – Montie Greg Culver, 73 died Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at CommonSpirit – Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was born on November 14, 1952 in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Eldon Sands and Wanda L. (Anders) Culver.

Montie enjoyed tinkering in the shop, team roping, welding and anything to do with using his hands such as building things and yard work.

On February 16, 1974 he married Jane Blurton in Dodge City, Kansas. She survives.

Survivors also include: his daughter, Brandi Tetreault and husband Ken, Tijeras, New Mexico; his son, Tyson Culver and wife Lora, Dodge City; Grandchildren, Katie Rabolli and husband Matthew, Amy Tetreault, Jennifer Tetreault, Kaine Culver, Kailheb Culver, Logan Culver; 2 great granddaughters on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Culver and sister, Dee Buller.

Private family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.
