SPEARVILLE - Parker David Leighty, 40, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at Dodge City, Kansas.

He was born on December 30, 1978 the son of the late Eldon Theodore Leighty and Johnni Kay (Amy) Ramsey.

Parker and his family moved to this area in 1994. He worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, talking and most importantly spending time with his family. When Parker loved you he loved you completely.

On August 16, 2003 he married Brandy (Craig) Leighty in Cimarron, Kansas. She survives.

Survivors also include: his wife, Brandy of the home; 5 children, Adalynn, Eldon, Remington, and Bradon Leighty all of the home, and Courtney Tatman-Leighty, Glendale, Arizona; his mother, Johnni Kay and step-`father, Bob Ramsey, Concordia; 4 sisters, Danielle Kamanda and boyfriend Dustin Cyr, Concordia, Kansas, Jessica Cason and husband Carl, Texas, Jennifer Rutschman and husband Trey, Texas, and Nichole Black, Texas; 2 special nieces, Destiny and Harper; 1 special nephew, Carter and several nieces and nephews that reside in Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, both of his grandparents, Don and Donna Leterle, and Don and Mildred Leighty.

Celebration of life will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 19, 2019 at LifeConnections Church, 314 N. Main, Spearville (building behind the post office) with Chad Rhoades officiating. There will be no public viewing, as cremation has taken place. The register book will be available to sign from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
