DODGE CITY – Pedro Casas, 94, died Wenesday, June 13, 2018 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born May 13, 1924 at Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Santiago Casas and Leonicia Catano.  He moved to the United States in 1999 and to Dodge City in 2004.  He was a farmer.

He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.

On October 9, 1943 he married Maria Dolores Banuelos at Laguna Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico.  She preceded him in death on October 11, 2011.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Everardo de Casas, Laguna Grande, Zacatecas, Isaias de Casas, Pasadena, California and Ignacio de Casas, Ensign, Kansas; 3 daughters, Ana Maria de Casas and Enelia de Casas both of Dodge City and Evelia Cabeen, Dumas, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by 3 sons, Refugio de Casas, Manuel de Casas and Arturo de Casas, a daughter, Mercedes de Casas, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Vigil service will be 7:00 pm Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at the church with Fr. Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
