DODGE CITY – Rheta Jane Hibler, 85, died Friday, June 21, 2024 at her home in Dodge City.

She was born February 2, 1939 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Loma L. and Goldie (Olinger) Lewis.  She grew up and attended school in Hugoton, Kansas.  She moved to Dodge City from Pratt, Kansas in 1989.  She spent most of her life helping others as a CNA and last worked at the Kansas Soldiers Home in Ft. Dodge until retiring.

On November 17, 1978 she married Charles Hibler in Tuscumbia, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on January 29, 2016.

Survivors include: 3 sons, David Seemann, Odessa, Texas, Ricky Seemann, Dodge City and Shane Irwin and wife Allison, Olathe, Kansas; her brother, Leonard Lewis and wife Shirley, Dodge City; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rheta May Seemann, a grandson, Ryan Seemann and a nephew, Mark Lewis.

Private family services will be held at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Dodge.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
