DODGE CITY – Richard Eugene Blackburn Sr., 58, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita.

He was born February 29, 1960 at Dodge City, the son of Johnny and Wanda (Hacker) Blackburn. He worked construction for J-A-G Construction as an Equipment operator and he was the best equipment operator in southwest Kansas.

He loved fishing, riding his motor cycle, drawing, tattoos, and working.

Survivors include: 2 sons, Richard Blackburn, Dodge City, and Ryan Blackburn and wife Misty, Dodge City; 2 daughters, Christi Larman, Dodge City, and Cayse Larman, Dodge City; 2 brothers, Joe Blackburn, Dodge City, and Jeff Blackburn, Dodge City; 1 sister, Ramona Ross, Topeka; and 9 grandchildren with 1 on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Lee Blackburn.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, December 31, 2018 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Scott Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Montezuma. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
