Robert Bob
"Bo" Holeman
Jan 20, 1956 — Nov 26, 2025
DODGE CITY - Robert "Bob/Bo" Holeman of Dodge City, Kansas, passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of influence, love and generosity that touched everyone he met.
Bo was born on January 20, 1956, in Eads, Colorado, to Melvin and Mary Lou "Betty" Holeman but spent most of his life in Dodge City. He served his community as a law enforcement officer from 1979-1989 in Dodge City and Beaumont, Texas. He then used his expertise and experience to join Silverhawk Security as the director of security at Excel/Cargill. Due to his exceptional reputation and success, Bo was recruited as the director of security for Boot Hill Casino from August 2009 through November 2023. In addition to his work in security, Bo also served his community working for Youthville and Compass Behavioral Health.
Bo was known for his integrity, quick wit, great sense of humor and his storytelling. No one was immune from one of his pranks or hot pepper challenges. He always had a listening ear and he spoke with wisdom that seemed to cure all worries and anxieties. Bo loved fishing, woodworking, gardening and playing his guitars. He was a man of many talents and he excelled in every single one. He always caught the most fish and his hand-crafted tables and bookshelves were just as strong as his character. His family will cherish the memories of him singing "House of the Rising Sun," "Lil' Red Riding Hood," or "Folsom Prison Blues" while playing his guitar. Music wove together the fabric of his life and Credence Clearwater Revival was a significant portion of the stitches. Bo carried himself with dignity and confidence and was rarely seen without his signature cowboy hat and boots.
Bo's legacy will be carried on by his loving wife, Maria Pacheco, and a blended family of his beloved children, Kaylee Harris and her husband Ryan, Shawn Holeman, Loddie Lupercio and her husband Aaron, Sindy Rodriguez and her husband Alex, Yasir Carcamo and his wife Kaisha; his grandchildren, Penelope and Luka Harris, Joey Holeman, Victor Alonzo Molina, Yare Sheard and her husband Ronnie, Yasmine and Anahi Lupercio, Elise Rodriguez, and Ali, Zuri, Sabrie, Emberly and Shyla Carcamo; his great-grandchild, Demario Sheard; his sisters, Phyllis Fahrenbruch and her husband Dennis, and Sue Canaday and her husband Ron. He is also survived by his first love and mother of his children, Linda Holeman, as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. He also leaves behind his fur children, Mila and Molly.
Welcoming Bo into Heaven are his parents; a brother, Charles Holeman, and sisters, Jeanette Applegate and Jody Konda.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 am Friday, December 5, 2025 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City with Jeff Zarcone (Mooradian) officiating and eulogy to be delivered by Michael Weatherl, a close friend of the deceased. There will be no public viewing, as cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Bo was a friend and mentor to many people over the years and he never turned down an opportunity to help others. In honor of his compassionate spirit, the family encourages all who knew him to pay it forward with an act of kindness, no matter how big or small.
