DODGE CITY – Rosalinda Rangel, 74 died Friday, June 27, 2025 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.

She was born on November 6, 1950 at Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Ricardo Ortiz and Estella Rodriguez. She worked as a secretary for Cargill and Dodge City Community College.

Rosie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Dodge City. She loved to collect Barbies and miniatures. She was an animal lover of all kinds making sure they were all taken care of. You could always find her watching the Three Stooges and hear her contagious laughter. Rosie was an avid reader, she loved to read scriptures and anything in between, always learning about something. Before her health declined, she was doing full time ministry all throughout her life, she was known to volunteer at assemblies, construction projects and even provide hospitality for the volunteers who would work on the church.

In April 1992 she married Jose Cruz Rangel in Dodge City, Kansas.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Jose Cruz Rangel; 2 sisters, Emilia "Millie" Cervantes and Elizabeth Johnson and husband Felix; niece, Adriana Cervantes and husband Guillermo Juarez Durarte; 2 nephews, Jeffrey Rangel and wife Esmeralda and Jose Rangel Jr; 2 sister-in-law's, Antonia Rangel and Sanjuana Rangel; a brother-in-law, Manuel Rangel; and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be 10:00 am Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Dodge City with Elder Tony Butler officiating. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
