DODGE CITY – Ruben Martin Martinez, 74, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his home.

He was born June 30, 1946 in Las Animas, Colorado the son of Tomas and Anita (Gonzales) Martinez. He enjoyed family, grandchildren, playing music and fishing.

On July 24, 1968 he married Frances Pacheco in Ulysses, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors also include: 2 sons, Ruben James Martinez and wife Rosie, Lawrence, Kansas and Thomas John Martinez and wife Lynnette, Brush, Colorado; 2 daughters, Corrina Martinez Carlos and husband Rafael, Dodge City and Amy Hernandez and husband Uriel, Dodge City; one brother, Robert Martinez and wife Dolly, Modesto, California; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Ann Meza, and one brother, Willie Martinez.

Services will be held at a later date.
