CONCORDIA – Sondra Stroud, 56, died Sunday, August 28, 2022 at her home in Concordia.

She was born February 18, 1966 at Spearville, the daughter of Francis "Ed" and Karen Sue (Jensen) Stegman.  She was a 1984 graduate of Dodge City High School.  She was a beautician at Beauty Villa in Dodge City for over 20 years as well as being the resident beautician at Parkview Apartments in Spearville.  She later worked as a Paraprofessional at Spearville High School, the Yukon Oklahoma School District and Concordia School District.

She was a track coach and volunteered for the Forensics Team both at Spearville High School.  She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the Olympics.

On June 25, 1990 she married Kevin Stroud at Las Vegas, Nevada.

Survivors include: her husband of 32 years, Kevin, Concordia; their 3 children, Joey Stroud, Wright, Kansas, Kendra Firkins and husband Jacob, Spearville and Seth Stroud, Dodge City; 4 grandchildren, Rylan Schulte, Aubrie Firkins, Brynlee Firkins and Jaxson Stroud; her father, Ed Stegman, Wright; 2 brothers, Mark Stegman and wife Susan, Liberal and Ivan Stegman and wife Gail, McPherson; and her mother-in-law, Joyce Hill and husband Delbert, Topeka.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Stegman and her father-in-law, Charles Stroud.

Vigil service will be at 7:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2022 at St. Andrew Church, Wright.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the church with Fr. Ted Stoecklein presiding.  Inurnment will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.  There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place.
