DODGE CITY – Thomas David Mann, 77 died Friday, April 5, 2024 at his home in Dodge City, Kansas.

He was born on January 29, 1947 at Norfolk, Virgina the son of Jesse Edward and Thelma Webb (Pruett) Mann. He moved to Dodge City in 1999 from Hugoton, Kansas where he spent most of his life farming.

Tom worked various jobs from being a bus driver for USD 443 to farming, and meat cutting. He enjoyed his dog, Rafe and loved walking him every day. He enjoyed watching Western TV Shows, spending time with his family and when the children were young, he would take them traveling to see various places.

On December 5, 1992 he married Shurlene Mitchell at Hugoton, Kansas. She survives.

Survivors also include: his 5 children, Rex Mann and wife Sherry, Granby, Colorado, Artt Mann and wife Lorna, Manhattan, Kansas, Lance Mann and wife Nedra, Skiatook, Oklahoma, Shannon Mann, Dodge City and Jacob Mann, Elk City, Oklahoma; a sister, Susan Peters and husband Ernest, Muscatine, Iowa; 2 brothers, James Mann and wife Peggy, Overland Park, Kansas and Burton Mann and significant other, Dawn Tree-Maas, Hugoton, Kansas; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Linda and Sally Mann.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 9:30 am at the Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, Kansas. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
