FORT DODGE, KANSAS – William E. Hartman, 73, died Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home in Ft. Dodge.

He was born April 4, 1949 at Wichita, the son of Emery Merton and Betty Jean (Tubbs) Hartman.  He had been a Ft. Dodge resident since January 2020, moving from Wichita.  He was a caregiver for Starkey, Inc. for 16 years, retiring February 14, 2020.

He served in the United States Army from January 1969 to January 1971.

He married Joanne Dyer in November 1974 at Clearwater, Kansas.  She preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Danny Hartman and a sister, Marilyn Loce.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Dodge, with military honors by American Legion District 8 and Military Honors for the State of Kansas.  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
