DODGE CITY-Wilma "Joyce" Ring died Thursday February 28, 2019 in Dodge City, Kansas.

Joyce was born April 7, 1943 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Joe and Chloe (Whittle) Pate Sr. She moved to Dodge City with her family in 1951 from Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

She enjoyed reading and collecting many different items. She loved to do yard work and loved to be around her dog Abby. Joyce worked for Ace Hardware for 32 years.

On April 7, 1964 She married Gerald Ring at Wright, Kansas. He survives.

Other survivors include 5 sisters, Jeannie Meeker, Wichita, Kansas, Glenda Middleswart and husband Gail, Oberlin, Kansas, Judy Harris, Dodge City, Kansas, Janis Ferguson and husband Tom, Dodge City, Michelle Pate, Dodge City; brother, Joe Pate Jr., Dodge City.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and son, David Ring.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday March 6, 2019 at Greencrest Memorial Gardens with Richard Crockett officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday March 5, 2019 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel. The casket will remain closed.
